How we got here.

Javier and Rebeca founded the firm in Madrid in 2003, under the name Fiscalium. For much of its history, it did what Spanish advisory firms have traditionally done: tax, accounting and employment advice for Spanish companies, built on personal relationships and years of accumulated expertise.

The change came from noticing the same pattern repeatedly. Foreign-owned companies often came to us after being poorly served elsewhere, and rarely because their advisors lacked technical knowledge. Those firms understood Spanish compliance, but not always what a foreign parent company needed alongside it: reporting in the group’s format, answers in English, and someone who explained why, not just what. These clients asked more of us, and they valued the answers.

When Javier and Rebeca’s son, Adrián, joined the firm after years of living and working in the UK and the US, he brought an international perspective to a need we had already recognised. His arrival helped turn that observation into a decision.

We would build the firm around foreign-owned companies operating in Spain.

The honest part

Who we don’t work with.

We are not the right firm for:

Companies without real activity in Spain.

Entities that exist to hold paperwork or support a residence application. We’ll handle individual filings, but a monthly retainer is the wrong product and we’ll say so in the first call.

Buyers whose main question is price.

We are not a low-cost provider, and we don’t try to be. The service we promise, a senior advisor who knows your business and answers within one working day, can’t be delivered at a budget fee. If price is the deciding factor, another firm will likely suit you better, and we’ll tell you so honestly.

A group that needs a full transfer pricing study with comparables, or a Big Four audit signature.

We’ll say so, and point you at the right firm for that piece — usually while keeping the rest.

Six things we do that most firms don’t.

  • We do what we said we’d do. The easiest thing in this industry is to describe a service well. The hard part is that it still happens in month fourteen, in August, in the week everything else went wrong.
  • We price consistently, transparently and fairly. We have a consistent, transparent and fair method for pricing. How the fee is built, what moves it, and what can never appear on an invoice. Your own figure comes in writing before anything starts.
  • We tell you before, not after. Every cost outside your monthly fee is named out loud and quoted before the work starts. You will never find a surprise on an invoice.
  • We guarantee the parts we control. Operational in 90 days or the setup isn’t charged. Filed late through our fault and we pay the surcharge. Your data and books back within 15 days if you leave, with no friction.
  • We give you a person, not a queue. One named advisor who knows your business, and a second who also does.
  • We tell you when the answer isn’t the one you wanted. Including when it’s that you don’t need us yet, or that you need someone bigger.

Each of these is written into the engagement letter and measured every month. The Evolutia standard: what you can hold us to →

Remote by default. In person when it matters.

Most of our clients run perfectly well without ever visiting an office, but when requested, we regularly meet clients at our Madrid or Valencia office, or at theirs.

For a parent company abroad, video works and we use it constantly. Even in an online context, we strive to strengthen our relationships by meeting our clients in person.

How we work.

  1. First

    We listen.

Your structure, your plan, your date. Forty-five minutes, and a written roadmap in English either way.

  2. Then

A proposal with a number on it.

Defined scope, fixed monthly fee, and the name of the person who will run your account.

  3. From then on

    It runs.

Monthly filings, payroll and reporting, and you hear from us before the deadline, not after it.

If this sounds like the firm you want.

Tell us what you’re doing in Spain. You’ll get an honest answer, including when it’s that we’re not the right fit.
